Bounties

Three daily contracts from the Bounty Board, fitted to your level, paying gold and crafting orbs.

The Bounty Board

Every town has a Bounty Board. Walk up to one and tap it to see today's three contracts. They're made for you: they're picked to fit your combat level and your skills, and they're the same on every board in every town, so take them wherever you are.

Bounties reset every day at midnight UTC. Unfinished bounties don't carry over, so use them or lose them.

The three contracts

Every day you get one of each:

  1. Slay: kill a number of a monster from the region that suits your level.
  2. Lair: defeat the boss of a lair that suits your level. If no lair suits you yet, you get a second, smaller slaying contract instead.
  3. Gather: gather a number of the best resource you can in one of your gathering skills (Mining, Woodcutting or Fishing).

After that, progress counts as you play. Once a contract is done, come back to any Bounty Board and claim it.

Rewards

Bounties are one of the most reliable ways to build up a stock of crafting orbs. See Crafting Orbs.

Tips

  • Check the board as soon as you log in. Progress only counts after you have, and knowing today's contracts lets you plan: if your gather bounty is maple logs, chop them while you wait for friends.
  • Combine them. The slay contract's monsters and the lair are both picked for your level, so they're often in the same region, and one trip can finish two contracts.
  • Bring friends. Kills your party makes nearby count toward your slay and lair contracts too.
  • The daily bonus is worth it, especially once it starts paying Emberstone.
  • Completing bounties counts toward the Bounty Hunter and Wanted: Dead achievements.
