Hollowmere and the gloamfolk

Hollowmere is a village of the gloamfolk: hooded witches and wardens who have lived under the black trees for longer than anyone remembers. They're seasoned adventurers in their own right, and you'll see them hunting, chopping and fishing around the village.

Hollowmere has a waystone, a Bounty Board, a Bank Chest, a Cooking Range and a Crafting Bench, and two merchants:

  • Old Hesper, the hedge-witch: potions in bulk, Identify Scrolls and Ashgate Scrolls. "Keep your lantern lit and your eyes on the path, dearie."
  • Rook, the lantern-warden: magic emberforged weapons, amulets and boots. "The wisps lead you in. I only sell what gets you out."

Monsters

Skilling

  • Woodcutting: Ghostwood Logs, a rare wood that makes warbows and staffs with a better chance of coming out magic. Maple too.
  • Fishing: Raw Gloom Eel, which cooks into Gloom Eel, some of the best food there is.
  • Mining: coal.

The Hollow Barrow

The Hollow Barrow (level 72). The thing the gloamfolk leave lanterns out for lives here: Morrowthorn the Antlered. He guards three lair uniques:

He also keeps a rune of his own, and can drop the Shade Wisp.

Tips

  • Wisps and Huntsmen fight from range, while Horrors and Stags close in. Deal with the shooters before the heavies reach you.
  • Gloom eel heals more than almost anything else. Fish and cook a stack before any hard fight.
